Rock Hill / Chester / Charlotte, NC Region
Bisected by I-77, this region is located between Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC. Discover the spirit and charm of the South in a region also known as Olde English District. The name refers to the region’s early settlement by the English in the mid-1700's. Revolutionary War and Civil War battle sites, two private railroads, period homes, and historic monuments abound. The district is dotted with picturesque towns like Rock Hill, Chester, and Ridgeway; Old St. David’s Church in Cheraw, and the spider lilies at Landsford Canal State Park.
“The Patriot,” “Gospel Hill,” “Asylum,” “Walker Payne,” “Staying Together,” “Taking Chances,” and “The Rage: Carrie II” have helped make this area a preferred production destination.
